Duro: "The team are giving our all"

Hugo Duro scored Valencia CF's equaliser against RCD Mallorca -his sixth goal of the season-, but was left wanting more from the game.

After the goal, the team never stopped attacking. It was difficult because they had a lot of players in the box, and they're also a strong team. We kept attacking and putting balls into the area, but the opposition were playing too, and the goalkeeper made some good saves… We're self-critical about conceding another goal from a set-piece, but otherwise, honestly, I don't know what more we could have done.

It was down to details: The set pieces, José's shot that hit the post, Lucas's incredible save and the rebound that went right past me… We have to keep going. It's not an excuse; we want the three points and we're working for that. You can criticise our set pieces or say we need to attack better, but you can't fault the team for the effort we put in until the very end.

Maturity

The break is good for clearing our heads a bit, as we're struggling to get the three points lately, but this is the elite level; we have to be prepared for when things go wrong. When things are going well, anyone can live with being a player, but when they're going badly, the maturity of a team shows, and this team can't afford to let any game slip by or stop competing in any match.
